Patrick Reddy

Biography

 
Patrick Reddy is an environmental scientist who has devoted much of the last several years to nature and wildlife photography and videography. Topics of special interest include natural history, ecosystems under stress, and climate change. Regions of interest include Hawaii, the Pacific Coast from Alaska to California, Colorado and the Rocky Mountain West, and the aquatic habitats of the Ozark Plateau. His film “Dreaming of Sea Turtles” was recently presented at the Eighth Annual San Diego Undersea Film Exhibition. He especially enjoys high definition videography, the rich details it affords, and the opportunities for story-telling and outreach that the medium provides. A passion for guitar and a small home studio add to the possibilities for small-scale nature film production.

His professional and educational background includes biology, forest ecology, meteorology, and climate monitoring. He received a bachelor’s degree at St. Louis University and a master of forest science degree from the Yale School of Forestry and Environmental Studies.
