Paul Willetts

Biography

 
Paul Willetts' filming career was planted
during high school when he won the coveted Top Scholar in Bursary Photography. He then obtained a Bachelor degree in Physical Education at Otago University, Dunedin, New Zealand. In Paul's efforts to combine his skill sets with a passion for the sea, he qualified as a PADI IDC Staff Instructor, able to teach professional instructor training to scuba specialists.

The next logical next step was to pick up a camera.

Paul now has five years' experience in the video industry. Commencing in this field as a Camera Operator, Paul's skills have expanded to incorporate roles such as Operations Manager, including the daily management of staff and dive centre scheduling. Paul's inherent nature and ability to deal with people makes him an asset in any area that requires daily contact with staff members and customers.

Additionally, Paul's interest in the video post-production process has focused his development in key areas including editing and DVD authoring, Constant exploration and expansion to include the latest technology and software additions has meant Paul's efforts have been at the forefront of technology.

Most recently, Paul was the natural choice for all the topĀ­ side filming for the AIDA International Individual World Championships (freediving), held in Long Island, Bahamas.
