NatureFootage Announced this Week at the Jackson
Hole Wildlife Film Festival
Footage Search Brings Best of Natural World to Web
Monterey, CA. September 19, 2005 – From Footage
Search (the creators of OceanFootage, the world’s largest online
resource for ocean footage), comes a new resource for footage
from the natural world: NatureFootage (www.NatureFootage.com).
This exciting online collection will spotlight breathtaking footage
from the best nature cinematographers around the world, and was
officially announced, appropriately enough, at the Jackson
Hole Wildlife Film Festival (September 19 - 24, 2005).
“
With the success of OceanFootage, providers focused on terrestrial
cinematography have requested us to expand our focus to all aspects
of the natural world,” comments founder Dan Baron. “Given
the opportunity, we expect to have a comparatively comprehensive
collection within the year. We already cover the oceans – now
we’ll cover the globe.”
The NatureFootage collection
will launch by the end of 2005, featuring hundreds of hours of
footage from some of the industry's
most formidable talents. These include such highly respected
nature providers as four-time Emmy winner Al Giddings, Natural
History New Zealand and its 25 years of documentary cinematography,
Bob Glusic, with a comprehensive HD collection of scenics from
U.S national parks, Greg Hensley’s wildlife and scenics
on 35mm film, and many more.
The NatureFootage collection will
focus on the highest-quality footage sourced on SD and HD video
and film. The NatureFootage
web site will offer all of the
support options already familiar to clients of OceanFootage, including the
best in online search, preview, purchase, and delivery. And if a certain subject
is not readily available on the NatureFootage web site, Footage Search can
submit a Shot Request to its network of hundreds of talented cinematographers
worldwide in order to track down almost any shot imaginable, and in the exact
format the customer needs.
With the launch of NatureFootage, providers will
receive a brand-new opportunity to grow revenue by selling their
nature-related footage online. Here, their
footage will be available for preview and sale "24/7," allowing cinematographers
more time out of the office and in the field.
