Providers - How To Get Started

Getting started with NatureFootage involves several basic steps on your part:

1. Submit Your Footage
2. Sign the Representation Agreement
3. Use ClipLog™ to Index and Price Your Footage
4. Place Your Footage Online
5. Receive Royalty Payments

1. Submit your footage

You submit a compilation tape of your best ocean-related footage. Once your initial submission is accepted, you can submit additional material at any time. Creating a Compilation Tape

2. Sign the Representation Agreement

The Representation Agreement ensures your rights are protected, since your footage is your valuable intellectual property. When you Sign Up online or Contact Us about becoming a provider, we will send you a copy of the agreement. Please review it carefully and return the signed Representation Agreement, along with your Compilation Tape.

3. Use ClipLog™ to Index and Price Your Footage

Once you submit your footage, a highly experienced professional reviews your compilation, selects all footage that is appropriate for the site, compresses the footage selected to include the NatureFootage watermark, and sets up your ClipLog online account and access to your Profile page.

You then gain access to your online ClipLog account to set your pricing and indexing keywords for each clip and you setup your Profile page with your biographical information and featured clips.
Once you get started, over time you can add new footage and adjust your keyword indexing terms and pricing as appropriate to changing circumstances.

4. Place Your Footage Online

When you are ready, you place your collection online for searching through the major Search Engines and NatureFootage, public viewing of samples, preview downloads, and new sales. At anytime you can modify your Profile page or ClipLog information.

5. Receive Royalty Payments

Most Stock Footage Representatives only place a small sampling of your footage online, or none at all. At NatureFootage, all of your footage that meets our quality criteria is available for immediate online search, preview, and sales. In addition, you get market promotion on the NatureFootage website through your own Profile Webpage

There are no up-front costs to join NatureFootage. NatureFootage handles the sale of your footage, including licensing. Royalty payments (sales less commission) are paid to you quarterly. With each check you receive, we include a statement describing all footage sales (clip ID, durations used, and license terms).
