NATUREFOOTAGE PRIVACY POLICY

This NatureFootage PRIVACY STATEMENT applies to each of the NatureFootage websites, including NatureFootage.com and all affiliated websites (the “Websites”).  NatureFootage, Inc. (“NatureFootage”) is very concerned with the privacy rights or our online visitors and users and is committed to protecting the information which we may collect from you.  The following Privacy Statement should provide you with a comprehensive and accurate description of the manner by which we collect, store and use the information which you provide.

WHAT INFORMATION DOES NATUREFOOTAGE COLLECT AND HOW WILL IT BE USED?

Our objective is to provide you with the most enjoyable and meaningful experience on our Websites, including the opportunity to view truly impressive video footage.  In order to facilitate this, NatureFootage may be required to collect information about you, but only if you voluntarily provide it to us.  In other words, no personal information is collected simply because you visit the Websites.  You may visit our site anonymously. You must actually register on any one of the Websites in order for NatureFootage to receive any personal information about you. Depending on your use of the Websites, we may ask or require that you submit personal and/or demographic information about yourself.  Unless you opt out on the registration form, NatureFootage will send to you, via email, updates of new footage available on the Websites as well as information and events tailored to those interests which you indicate upon registering.

When you order footage from us, we collect and maintain personally identifiable information from you, including without limitation, your name, email address, billing address, shipping address, telephone number, footage selections, credit card or other payment information, and an order number.  We collect this information in order to process and fill your order, to communicate with you about your order and to send you promotional materials.  Before confirming your order, you will have an opportunity to review the footage order form and make changes and additions to the information it contains.  These changes will be automatically kept for future use.

In addition, we may use the above specified information for our internal marketing and demographic studies.  These studies assist us in constantly improving the products and services we provide you and to better meet your needs.  Our technology also allows us to tailor the footage, information and services on the Websites to your interests and demographic information, thereby showing you content that we think you may be interested in and displaying content in accordance with your preferences.

In order to improve our services, we may ask some of our users and customers to voluntarily complete surveys, which may be collected by an independent third party.  Individual survey answers are confidential, although non-personally identifiable information is collected and disclosed to third parties.  If you do not wish to participate in a survey, simply decline to participate when asked.

Failure or refusal to submit personal information about yourself may limit your ability to participate in some activities, services and offerings on the Websites.

If you contact NatureFootage by telephone, e-mail or letter, we make keep a record of your correspondence or comments.  If you report a problem with any of the Websites, we may collect such information in a file specific to you.  If you contact us through our feedback area or by calling on of our customer service representatives, we may ask for your name, e-mail address and order information in order to send you a reply.

No matter what method we use to collect your information and no matter how we use your information, we will only collect information deemed reasonably necessary to fulfill your requests and our legitimate and legal business objectives.

DOES NATUREFOOTAGE USE COOKIES, TRACK IP ADDRESSES OR USE OTHER PASSIVE MEANS TO COLLECT INFORMATION?

NatureFootage uses cookies on its Websites.  A “cookie” is a small bit of record-keeping information that websites often store on a user’s computer.  Cookies do not include people’s names, e-mail addresses or other personally identifiable information—rather, they are used to quickly identify a user’s computer and to “remember” things about a user’s prior visits to a website.  NatureFootage’s cookies will not be used to analyze your visits to other websites or track any Internet searches which you may undertake.

We use cookies to help us remember and process the items in your shopping cart, understand and save your preferences for future visits and compile aggregate data about site traffic and site interaction so that we can offer better site experiences and tools in the future. We may contract with third-party service providers to assist us in better understanding our site visitors. These service providers are not permitted to use the information collected on our behalf except to help us conduct and improve our business.

You can disable cookies or set your browser to alert you when cookies are being set. However, some areas of our Websites will not function properly if you do so. You can still place orders over the telephone or by contacting customer service.

NatureFootage also reserves the right to keep track of Internet Protocol (IP) addresses for safety and security reasons.  An IP address is a number that is used by computers on the network to identify your computer every time you log on to the Internet.

WITH WHOM DOES NATUREFOOTAGE SHARE MY PERSONAL INFORMATION?

If you choose to receive information about products and services from NatureFootage and other “select” companies, NatureFootage may sometimes disclose your personal information to those companies.  We will only do so with those companies that have assured us that they will not use your personal information for any purpose other than to provide this information to you.  If you decide that you no longer want to receive information from a particular company, you should contact that company directly.

We may also disclose your personal information to third parties that will assist NatureFootage in processing and fulfilling your orders, charging your credit card, delivering the footage and providing customer service.  We are also required to release your credit card information to the card-issuing bank to confirm payment.

You should be aware that if you subsequently give any personal information to another company, the uses to which that information may be put will be determined on the basis of that company’s privacy policy.  Our policy will no longer apply.

NatureFootage may share your personal information to third parties such as contractors who are working with NatureFootage to improve its technology and services.  All such individuals shall be required to execute a confidentiality agreement prior to NatureFootage disclosing any personal information to them.  Furthermore, in the event of a merger, acquisition, or the unlikely event of bankruptcy, management of NatureFootage’s customer information may be transferred to its successor or assign.

If you are a registered user, you may at any time change your mind about receiving information from NatureFootage or other companies.  You can “opt out” from receiving information about NatureFootage’s newly arrived footage, services and offerings and those of other companies by clicking on the “register” link and updating your profile.  In addition, along with every communication sent to you, NatureFootage gives you the opportunity to discontinue receiving future communications.

We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer to outside parties your personally identifiable information. This does not include trusted third parties who assist us in operating our website, conducting our business, or servicing you, so long as those parties agree to keep this information confidential. We may also release your information when we believe release is appropriate to comply with the law, enforce our site policies, or protect ours or others rights, property, or safety. However, non-personally identifiable visitor information may be provided to other parties for marketing, advertising, or other uses
