Spider Mites (Acari (mite) family Tetranychidae) are related to spiders and ticks however do not bite, they produce silk that is stronger then a spiders yet 400 times thinner, they use toxins from plants for defence and have incorporated the genes of fungi in their DNA, this one is one of the largest spider mites at 15mm and is found in Australia.
